Waste Separation: Separate with Heart, Help the World

Wouldnt it be better if we knew how to properly separate waste? In fact, people produce a lot of waste every day. In 2020, the amount of waste generated was 25.37 million tons, and only 8.36 million tons of it were recyclable (Source: Pollution Control Department). Today, Pixelfruit would like to talk about sustainable resource and waste management principles, which include:

1. Reduce - Reduce the use of unnecessary resources and products to decrease waste from the start.
2. Reuse - Use the same items or materials again, without throwing them away or buying new ones.
3. Recycle - Take used materials and transform them into new products, making the most out of available resources.

For Pixelfruit, we can separate our waste into 4 parts: the jar, the lid, the plastic ring around the lid, and the sticker. The jar and lid can be reused, while the plastic ring and sticker are what we refer to as "orphan waste." The meaning of orphan waste that we could find is waste that is neither wet, general, recyclable, hazardous, nor electronic. Once separated, it can be sent for incineration in an environmentally friendly manner to generate energy. The orphan waste we separate can be tracked on the N15 Technology page, where they will post collection points for orphan waste.
